Elmsford Board Election to be Uncontested

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - As expected, the race for two available seats on the Elmsford Board of Trustees next month will be uncontested.

According to the Westchester Board of Elections, incumbent Edward Rush and Democratic political newcomer Raymond Cordi were the only two candidates to file petitions by the Feb. 14 deadline.

Rush, Hartsdale's fire chief, will earn his fifth two-year term on the board. Cordi, a firefighter and paramedic, will replace longtime trustee and deputy mayor William Zimkin, who opted not to seek a seventh term since he no longer lives full-time in Elmsford.

The election will be held on Tuesday, March 20.
