ELMSFORD, N.Y. The Village of Elmsford is attempting to give families a merrier Christmas as it partakes in the annual in-house Toys for Tots.
Until Dec. 9, residents are asked to drop off unwrapped gifts at Village Hall. The toys will be given to the village-supported food bank run by Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The food bank supports families throughout Elmsford who have fallen on hard times.
When the food is distributed on Saturday, Dec. 17, the donated gifts will be given out as well. Gift ideas include stuffed animals, action figures, dolls, books, crayons, coloring books, hats, scarves and soccer balls.
