More than 200 visitors moved from a continental breakfast with the Bunny (Bryelle Burgus) and live music by the Lagond Music School students before moving the the center's basement for craft making.

Burgus, a theater arts student at Suffolk University in Boston who plays holiday characters at Elmsford events year-round, was joined by seven National Honor Society high school students and recreation staff workers to serve families and assist the children with crafts.

"Bryelle really loves entertaining and volunteering with these events," Tammy Burgus said of her daughter the Bunny, who was too busy with the kids to talk to the media. "The young honor society students are really doing a great job helping with the event."

The Elmsford Recreation Department began the Easter Holiday Breakfast in 2013 and had a bigger crowd this year.

"We began the breakfast last year and it was a hit," Recreation Supervisor Cristina Kraemer said. "The children have a chance to sit with their parents and then make some crafts. It is going very smoothly and we hope the community enjoys it."

Kraemer was assisted by Tammy Burgus and Marissa Oliva. The student volunteers were Dana Ramirez, Arianna Albino, Morelia Huaman and Alana Watt of Alexander Hamilton High School, Salvatore Croce of Woodlands High School and Austin Latessa of Fordham Prep.

Village Trustees Ed Rush and Michael Eannazzo were also on hand to enjoy the celebration.

"I'm here with my family to enjoy the day," Eannazzo said. "The Recreation Department and the volunteers are doing a great job. It's a nice family event."
