Experience "The Green Hornet" in Book and on Film

GREENBURGH, NY - If you missed "The Green Hornet" in theaters, come to its viewing for free at the Greenburgh Public Library.

On July 20, the library's Teenburgh department will air the action/comedy flick starring Seth Rogen as part of its "Book A Star Movie Night" program.

The film follows Britt Reid (Rogen), the partying, lazy son of a prominent newspaper owner who inherits the company after his father (Tom Wilkinson) dies. Wanting to make something of himself, Reid becomes a vigilante crime fighter alongside his father's butler Kato (Jay Chou).

The goal of the film series is to provide children with the opportunity to watch a film that they have previously read in book form. It allows teens to experience print and video media. A talk-back session will occur at the film's end for attendees to discuss which version was better and why.

June's movie was the science fiction flick "I Am Number Four." The next movie night will take place on August 17, featuring "Pretty Little Liars."

"The Green Hornet" will be shown from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the Teenburgh location on the library's second floor.
