WESTCHESTER, N.Y. – Even as long gas lines were spotted throughout Westchester County on Saturday, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino said Gov. Andrew Cuomo has assured him that deliveries to retail stations are returning to normal and generators are being delivered to those stations that have supply but no electric power.

Astorino issued a statement Saturday saying, "Again, I am asking our residents to be patient."

Regarding the continuation of tens of thousands of power outages in the county, Astorino said, "Our biggest priorities are our schools. We want all schools open on Monday. After that, our priority is our voting places, which, in many cases, are in schools."

As of 3:30 p.m. Saturday, about 108,469 Con Edison customers in Westchester were without power, down from 120,374 Friday afternoon.

In addition, there were about 21,200 NYSEG customers in the dark Saturday, down from 25,499 Friday afternoon.

Con Ed is vowing to have all Westchester customers' power restored by Friday. NYSEG says the bulk of its customers will have power back by midnight Sunday, with the remainder brought back online by Wednesday.
