Golden Lab Saved After Falling Through Ice In Irvington

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington firefighters rescued a dog from a frozen pond Saturday, according to multiple media reports.

A golden Labrador retriever that had fallen through the ice on a pond off Beckett Close in Irvington was rescued by firefighters Saturday.

The golden Labrador retriever had fallen through the ice near 15 Beckett Close and his teenage owner was not able to reach him, according to a report by lohud.com.

Firefighters wearing cold-weather gear were able to pull the pooch out, lohud.com reported.

The dog was unharmed but was taken to a local vet to be checked out, media reports said.
