Supervisor Paul Feiner said 90 percent of residents surveyed said they supported allowing beekeeping. The legislation would have a setback requirement and residents would have to get permission from their next door neighbors before they started beekeeping.
"I was surprised so many people were interested," Feiner said.
Feiner said beekeeping would help preserve the honeybees and be good for the environment. The legislation will be introduced next month with a public hearing.
Ossining lifted a ban on beekeeping in 2014.
