Christmas tree lightings come once a year. Are you attending the one in your community?
On Saturday, Dec. 3, Ardsley will hold its tree lighting at 6 p.m. at Legion Park. In years past, the turnout has been strong, said Mayor Jay Leon. The high school's chorus group will provide entertainment and refreshments will be served.
Edgemont's annual tree lighting will take place on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Edgemont Road Triangle. Roads will be closed from Round Hill Road to the end of Crane Pond to ensure safety.
Elmsford's annual tree lighting will occur on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Village Hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Music will be provided by students of Alice E. Grady Middle School. Horse and wagon rides will be offered to and from the senior center on North Stone Avenue. Santa Claus will also join the tree lighting ceremony; residents are asked to bring their cameras for photos with Saint Nick.
