SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Enjoy seasonal fare from local restaurants, bakeries and wineries at the Greenburgh Nature Center's 2nd Annual Farm to Table dinner and wine tasting fund-raiser on Sunday, June 22, from 4 – 7 p.m.
Participants will be greeted with appetizers and a glass of award-winning local wine from the Hudson Valley region. Diners will also have a chance to tour the grounds and learn about the nature center’s animals, exhibits and educational programs.
Each dinner menu item includes ingredients harvested or sourced fresh from local area farms and will be accompanied by local wines. Winemakers and local chefs will be available for questions during dinner. Participating restaurants include Bareburger, Café of Love Restaurant, Harper's Restaurant, Ladle of Love Restaurant, Meritage Restaurant, Saint George Bistro. Wine will be provided by Vintology Wine & Spirits, and baked goods and other foods provided by Riviera Bakehouse, Hilltop Hanover Farm, Imagine Candy and Whole Foods-Yonkers.
To help promote the nature center's mission and sustainability message, diners are asked to bring their own dinnerware (china, glasses, silverware).
The dinner is held rain or shine; dress comfortably and wear practical shoes.
The cost per person is $100 for members, $150 for non-members. Children over 12 years old can attend at the per person rate. Childcare for children ages 2-12 is available for an additional fee.
