Greenburgh Park Gets Slice of Astorino's $58M Plan

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - A county park in Greenburgh is among the projects County Executive Rob Astorino has identified as part of $58 million in capital improvements he has presented to the Board of Legislators.

While paling in comparison to some multi-million dollar projects on his list, Astorino is seeking $325,000 for infrastructure improvements at Ridge Road Park.

The flat, developed part of the 236-acre park features picnic areas, three pavilions, a playground and athletic fields, including Miracle Field for children and adults with disabilities. The undeveloped portion of the site is heavily wooded with trails.

Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner said the program for the disabled that was started by former County Executive Andrew Spano is "incredible."

"It's a beautiful park," he said. "The park is enjoyed by many residents of unincorporated Greenburgh so we're delighted that infrastructure improvements will be made."
