GREENBURGH, N.Y. Police released the name of the man who was struck by a car Sunday afternoon while crossing Tarrytown Road near Hillside Avenue.
Daniel Gaytan, 21, of Stamford, Conn., was listed in critical but stable condition at the Westchester Medical Center by Monday morning, police said. A phone message and email seeking an update on his condition were not returned by the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon.
The driver of the vehicle that struck him, a 1997 Honda, has been identified as Mauro A. Alvarez, 28, of White Plains, police said.
Greenburgh police also reported that Alvarez was issued a traffic ticket for driving with a suspended license, and that the detective division is still investigating the incident.
