GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- A 19-year-old White Plains man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after being pulled over for speeding and running through a stop sign, police said.
On Feb. 10 at 11 p.m., a Greenburgh police officer observed a 2007 Acura that failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Palisade Avenue and Dobbs Ferry Road. The car was then traveling 60 miles per hour in a 30 miles per hour zone.
During the traffic stop, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana and a plastic bag containing marijuana was observed sticking out of the driver's jeans pocket. Three other small bags of marijuana were found in the center console of the vehicle.

Obstructed View: On Feb. 7 at 1:23 p.m., a police officer observed a 1998 Honda Civic traveling west on Tarrytown Road with numerous items hanging from the rearview mirror obstructing the 21-year-old New Rochelle female driver's view. A traffic stop and Department of Motor Vehicles check revealed that the registration of the vehicle was suspended for non-payment of parking tickets.
Broken Window: Police received a report Feb. 8 at 8:25 a.m. of a broken front window at Adam and Eve Salon on Central Avenue. The incident occurred sometime overnight. The investigation revealed glass damaged by a high-powered BB-type projectile.
Cold Draft: On Feb. 8 at 12:44 p.m., a Dobbs Ferry Road resident reported while sleeping in an upstairs bedroom that he felt a cold draft. The resident went downstairs and found the front door and interior door to the basement open. He then went into the basement and observed that the basement window was ripped out and the rear sliding door was open. Nothing appeared missing from the home.
