Greenburgh Police Respond to Fight at Friday's

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh police had their hands full after receiving a report of a fight in progress involving about 40 people at Friday's on Central Avenue.

Several officers responded to the restaurant Feb. 18 at 1:36 a.m. and said they saw several vehicles exiting the parking lot headed northbound. In the waiting area of the restaurant, officers said they found one person in an agitated state with his fists clenched. Inside they discovered another male with an eye laceration.

A female told police she and the injured male were leaving the restaurant when they were attacked by about 30 people. Neither of the individuals would provide information on the cause of the altercation.

The manager of Friday's told police some type of verbal dispute between two females took place prior to the fight.

Fight Night: On Feb. 17 at 9 p.m., police received a report of a fight in progress at 100 Manhattan Ave. Officers said they saw two people in an intoxicated state. One individual told police he was drinking Hennessey and smoking marijuana. A 23-year-old Yonkers man and a 23-year-old White Plains man were charged with trespassing and being under the influence of drugs, both violations.

Public Lewdness: On Feb. 17 at 10:20 p.m., police said they responded to a report of a male masturbating inside Payless Shoes on Tarrytown Road while staring at a female employee. The suspect was wearing a red skull cap, jeans jacket and blue jeans, police said, and was spotted by police standing behind Sleepy's. The suspect ran and jumped over a fence before being caught and hit with a stun gun. A 23-year-old Mount Vernon man was charged with public lewdness and resisting arrest.
