The suggestion calls for allowing an extension of Trader Joe’s but a limiting the inclusion of two new stores until Trader Joe’s affect on parking-lot availability could be evaluated.  The Planning Board will discuss the proposal during a work session in early January, according to a press release.

Members of the Greenburgh Town Board met on Saturday, Dec. 6, with residents who live near Westchester Square to discuss the expansion. Citizens expressed concern that allowing two new stores to be constructed on the square would create chaotic traffic conditions and limited parking space. They invited the Town Board to observe such conditions at the square during the holiday season. According to a press release, The Planning Board had previously reviewed the application and recommended approval, but some of the members had voted against the proposal.
