GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh will join White Plains and Harrison as it replaces its rear-loading garbage trucks for side-loading vehicles that pick up trash with an automated arm, according to a report by Lohud.com.
The new trucks will begin in three sections of Greenburgh -- Poet's Corner, Valimar and Winding Ridge -- and will later expand to other sections of the town, according to the report.
Supervisor Paul Feiner supports the new garbage trucks.
"We have already ordered a second truck," said Feiner. "Over time we expect that about 80 percent of the town will have their garbage picked up by these trucks."
"If you live in Poet's Corner, Winding Ridge, Valimar or the surrounding streets that will be serviced by the trucks, please let me know what your experiences are."
