Hartsdale Fire District Award Ceremony Honors Members On Monday

HARTSDALE, N.Y. – The community is invited to attend the Hartsdale Fire District’s annual meritorious award ceremony on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Fire State No. 2.

The ceremony includes a special dedication of Engine 170 in memory of Deputy Chief Joe Kelley, who died this year. Kelley was an 18-year member of the fire department.

Award categories include life saving, exemplary action, length of service including a 50-year volunteer member and perfect attendance.  Awards are nominated by fire department officers and reviewed by a committee for final approval.  Recipients will receive a medal and/or certificate at the ceremony.

Fire Station No. 2 is at 300 W. Hartsdale Ave. in Hartsdale.
