Hartsdale Man ID'd In Drowning At Texas Lake

A man who drowned in a lake outside Austin, Texas was identified by authorities on Friday as a 31-year-old Westchester man.

Brian Robinson of Hartsdale was involved in community sports and church activities and had worked at the White Plains Department of Parks and Recreation and Department, according to lohud.com.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said it was notified of a person missing from a party barge in the Devil’s Hollow area of Lake Travis around 3:45 pm on Saturday, June 11 and that a rescue crew was not able to locate the person.

Authorities continued searching for the man, and, on Monday, enhanced the search by adding divers and the Texas Department of Safety divers assisted in the operation, employing the use of a Side Sonar Scanner as well. 

Monday evening, shortly before 8 p.m, a Lake Travis resident called 911 to report seeing something floating in Devil’s Hollow. Deputies responded and recovered Robinson’s body.

The body was recovered and taken to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office so they could start their investigation into cause of death. Detectives were able to find next of kin and notify them.
