  • Hartsdale's Brian Wilantowicz, who ran the 2013 Boston Marathon, crossed the finish line in a time of 3:07.41, more than an hour before the explosions occurred. Wilantowicz is returning to Beantown for Monday's marathon.
  • Village of Ardsley officials reported that the village office had received two reports of black bear sightings in the past 24 hours.
  • A 25-year-old Tarrytown man has been charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in the September 2013 shooting death of 23-year-old Megan Bookstaver of Long Island, according to a Westchester County District Attorney release.
  • Single-family home prices in Westchester climbed 16.5 percent and sales increased 19.4  percent in the first quarter of 2014, compared with the same period in 2013, according to a report published Monday by the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors.
