Hastings Honors Fallen Heroes On Memorial Day

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Hundreds lined the streets in downtown Hastings-on-Hudson Sunday to honor those who died in war while serving their country with a Memorial Day parade and service.

The Hastings-on-Hudson Memorial Day celebration began with a parade down Main St. to Warburton Ave.

U.S. Army Captain Tyler Quillico, a West Point graduate who has served two tours in Afghanistan, offered the official commendation to his comrades and all of the military personnel who have died in the nation's wars.

Marching bands, pipers, Hastings police and firefighters, military veterans, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and other groups celebrated the day by marching in the parade.
