GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Jackson Avenue in Greenburgh has been closed Wednesday as a result of a motor vehicle accident with minor injuries at South Sprain Road to Saw Mill River Road (Rt. 9A) until further notice, Greenburgh Police said.
The closure is expected to last until about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Greenburgh Police said.
The accident, reported at 11:45 a.m., involved a single vehicle into a telephone pole located near the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Edith Way.
The telephone pole was damaged and Con Edison is on scene repairing the damaged pole.
Police advise drivers to use alternate routes.
