Legislator Offers Update On Crane Road Bridge Work On Greenburgh Border

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Westchester County Legislator MaryJane Shimsky says night work will resume on the Crane Road Bridge, near the Greenburgh-Scarsdale border on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

The night work from Dec. 10-14 should be less noisy than that during the period of Dec. 15-19, when the use of hoe rams and jackhammers will be needed. Night work is still scheduled to be completed by Dec. 19.

Daytime Tuesday, Dec. 9

Mobilization of the 600-ton crane

Removal of the steel floor beams and outside steel girders

Overnight roadway closures and/or 15-minute stoppages of traffic are anticipated during night work.

Daytime Monday, Dec. 15

Demobilization of the 600-ton crane

Night of Monday, Dec. 15 through the night of Friday, Dec. 19 Removal of the North and Middle Abutments adjacent to the railroad tracks

Scheduling issues are presently being discussed with Metro North.
