Through Aug. 21, you can access free young adult and classic audiobook downloads online. The SYNC program gives away two complete audiobook downloads – a current young adult title paired thematically with a classic or required summer reading title – each week to listeners ages 13+ while SYNC is in session. To sign up,  go to http://www.audiobooksync.com/about/ and sign-up in the right column to get notifications of when the downloads are available. You can receive alerts by text message, email newsletter, or by simply following the SYNC blog. Signing up for these alerts will not send you the titles. They simply will tell you when and where the title is available to download. Downloads are in MP3 format, hosted by OverDrive, and are Mac and Windows compatible. Most listening devices are supported, and each audiobook will be available for download for a period of seven days. The books, once downloaded, can be listened to at any time.
