Man Arrested in Greenburgh for Stealing Perfume

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — A man was arrested and charged with petit larceny for stealing four boxes of Calvin Klein cologne from the Loehmann’s store on Tarrytown Road, police said.

Carlos Williamson, 39, a Dobbs Ferry resident, became very nervous once he left the store and saw a police officer, police said.

Williamson started walking away from the officer until another stopped him, police said.

The officers saw a box of Calvin Klein cologne sticking out of Williamson’s front pocket, and a search revealed the three others he was hiding, police said.

After calling the Greenburgh police on Oct. 4, the Loehmann's loss prevention person told the officers that Williamson passed all cashiers without paying for the colognes, and that he is known for shoplifting in the store, having been warned several times not to go back there, police said.

Williamson was, in fact, arrested in the past for stealing in that very same store, police said.

He will be arrested for trespassing if he shows up there again, police said.
