Man With Knife Approaches Worker in Greenburgh

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - A man wielding a knife approached and scared a maintenance worker Monday at 100 Clearbrook Rd. in Elmsford.

At approximately 7:50 a.m., Greenburgh Police patrol units responded to the scene where Connecticut resident William Kopp, 44, suffered a minor injury from the ordeal. Treated at the scene with no hospitalization required, Kopp said that the man advanced towards him, mumbling in Spanish. He was believed to be on foot, running south.

Westchester County's aviation unit assisted with the search and provided aerial coverage of the wooded area. Canine officers were also on the scene. Nothing was found, and the matter is currently under investigation by local police.
