State Police from Cortlandt, in conjunction with the Montrose VA Hospital, announced Saturday that 78-year-old Francis Dalessio, of Montrose, who went missing Thursday, has been located in Connecticut in good health.

New York State Police in Cortlandt are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a missing veteran from Montrose who may be in need of medical care.

On Friday afternoon, state police announced, in conjunction with the Montrose VA Hospital, that they were searching for 78-year-old Francis Dalessio, who has been reported missing.

Police said that Dalessio reportedly left the Montrose VA on Albany Post Road on Thursday. He has been described as an elderly, 5-foot, 5-inch white man weighing approximately 100 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and blue baseball hat.

Dalessio is believed to have potentially taken a cab to Main Street in Peekskill on Thursday morning. He suffers from dementia and may be in need of medical attention.
