SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Film crews from a subsidiary of HBO will be filming at the JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale next week and could inconvenience some customers, an announcement from Executive Director Karen Kolodny said.
Crews will be at the JCC facility from Monday to Wednesday, Oct. 21 to Oct. 23, beginning at 5 a.m. At any given time there will be approximately 30 to 80 crew members at the facility, the release said.
Filming will take place in the JCC’s fitness center, front lobby reception area and pool, according to the release. Most of the filming will occur on Tuesday, Oct. 22 as Monday and Wednesday are mostly being used as days to set up and take-down equipment and sets.
Notably, the front lobby will be closed during some periods so the front desk support staff will be relocated in the Bendheim lobby for assistance. The pool will be closed to patrons from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The downstairs men’s locker room will be closed on Monday, but the upstairs men’s health center locker room will be open.
The fitness center will be closed on Tuesday from noon to the end of the day. Only the back parking lot will be available to customers.
In an effort to minimize disruptions for JCC customers, Kolodny’s release said the center is taking steps to provide alternative parking, locker rooms and facility access. Signs will be posted around the JCC building and parking lots to help customers navigate changes, she said.
“We will also make sure that there is added security and that all members of the film crew and staff are clearly identified,” the release said. “We deeply value your relationship with the JCC, and are committed to providing you with the highest level of service.”
