Paving Alters Overnight Traffic On Sprain Parkway

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Motorists are advised that the New York State Department of Transportation will continue various lane closures on the southbound Sprain Brook Parkway between I-287 and the Bronx River Parkway for paving operations. Weather permitting, the closures are expected to take place until further notice between the overnight hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. effecting the roadway through the Village of Elmsford and the Towns of Greenburgh and Mount Pleasant. Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers. Travelers are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
