A female driver reported to police shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon that she had accidentally struck a pedestrian with her side mirror while driving on Wellington Circle.
Police said that the man who was struck was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to Lawrence Hospital for an evaluation as a precaution. After being treated for non-life-threatening injuries following the collision, the man was released.
The driver took a breathalyzer test to confirm she was not drinking, police noted. An accident report was completed and she was permitted to leave the scene of the accident.
