Police Probe Second Home Burglary in Edgemont

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh police are investigating the second home burglary in three days in the Edgemont section.

The latest incident was reported Feb. 13 at 3:30 p.m. by a female at 175 Juniper Road, who said the burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed the suspect or suspects entered the home by forcing open a ground floor window in the rear of the house. The master bedroom was ransacked and numerous items were stolen, including assorted jewelry and a Wii video game console.

The first burglary took place Feb. 11 at 6:54 p.m. at Inverness Road in which the intruder or intruders shattered a rear door and ransacked several upstairs bedrooms. Jewelery boxes were the target of that break-in.

In both cases, police canvassed the neighborhood and conducted interviews. Detectives also did follow-up investigations.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Greenburgh police at (914) 682-5331. All calls will be kept confidential.
