SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Scarsdale Edgemont Family Counseling Service will host its annual Gourmet Galaxy celebration at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Fountainhead in New Rochelle.
The event will showcase the cuisine of the finest area restaurants and gourmet shops, including 808 Bistro; An American Bistro; Angelina's; BosphoRus; Buon Amici; Chat 19; Chat American Grill; Eastchester Fish Gourmet; The Fountainhead; Haiku Bronxville; Harry's of Hartsdale; Imagine Candy; Kirari Sushi; Kyo Sushi; Renaissance Bakery; Lulu Custom Cake Boutique; Lusardi's; The Metro Restaurant; Moscato; Niko's Greek Taverna; Noodle+; Old Stone Mill; Patisserie Salzberg; Ruffled Feathers; Saigonese Vietnamese; Sakanaya Sushi; Savona and Standing Room Only. Unique luxury items and adventure will also be auctioned during the event.
This year's Gourmet Galaxy is dedicated to retiring Executive Director Geraldine Greene. She will be honored for extraordinary achievement and service in this post during the past 35 years.
During her administration, she overcame numerous obstacles to build an exceptional organization that has been recognized by the National Council on Accreditation.
Greene has forged a strong partnership with village and school board officials to provide a safety net as well as innovative programs for students, parents and senior residents.

The event is being held to support SFCS, a nonprofit organization that provides counseling services and unique programs that help students, adolescents, parents and older adults in the Scarsdale-Edgemont area.
