In a letter to residents first posted by the blog Scarsdale10583, SVAC President David Raizen said that donations are down this year, and the organization, which is funded with no taxpayer support and an annual budget of $600,000 is “running in the red.”

Raizen said that of the 5,356 residences SVAC services in Scarsdale, they received less than 475 donations at their annual fund drive, one of their biggest fundraising efforts of the year.

Those interested in making a tax-deductible donation to support SVAC can do so online or by sending a check to PO Box 92, Scarsdale, NY.
