The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 71-year-old Arquimedes Mota, who has moved from Elmsford to an apartment on Bruce Avenue in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Mota as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Mota had sexual contact with a 9-year-old girl in August 2014, and he was convicted of having multiple acts of sexual contact with a minor under the age of 11 in December the following year. Mota was sentenced to 10 years probation and six months in local jail. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
