Things To Do This Weekend in Greenburgh

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – Nothing to do this weekend? Here are some ideas so that you will not end up falling asleep on the couch this weekend.

Greenburgh will be injected with some laughter Friday as the Royal Palace Indian Restaurant turns into a comedy club for the night. Starting at 7 p.m., the restaurant presents "Stand Up Comedy Curry," where they will serve their usual Indian dinner with entertainment provided by four Indian and Pakistani comedians.

"The crowd in Greenburgh is generally very enthusiastic," said Saad Sarwana, the event's organizing comedian, who lives in Dobbs Ferry and works in Elmsford. "It's nice for them to come out because they're not used to seeing live events, especially live comedy. They're very enthusiastic about them having something different for them to do. It's always good to laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. It's something different for everyone to do, something for people to come out and have a good time with. Forget about their worries and doubts."

The Royal Palace Restaurant is located at 77 Knollwood Road in the Greenburgh Shopping Center.
