GREENBURGH, N.Y. The Greenburgh Public Library will hold its annual book sale from Saturday to Monday. The event, organized by the Friends of the Greenburgh Library, will feature 8,000 to 10,000 books for sale. Many of the offerings are practically new, at a price of $2 or less. Paperback and children books will be sold for a dollar.
This year we became very, very concerned with really sorting and picking up the best books, said Hope Heyman, president of the Friends of the Greenburgh Library, a non-profit organization that raises money for the library.
The book sale will happen in the Greenburgh Public Library on 300 Tarrytown Rd. on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be a preview Friday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. exclusively for the Friends of the Greenburgh Library members. Anybody can become a member by paying a $10 membership fee at the door, Heyman said.
