Two Masked Men Steal Computers From Bookstore

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh police are investigating the robbery of computer equipment from a bookstore on Knollwood Road Thursday night by two masked men.

According to police, two men wearing ski masks entered the Wellington Books, LLC store shortly before 7 p.m. and announced a robbery. No weapons were displayed by the suspects, who stole several computers and software items.

One employee suffered a laceration to his forehead when he tried to leave the store and was stopped by one of the suspects who closed the front door, police said. The injured worker was treated at the scene by police paramedics and taken to Westchester Medical Center, where he was later released.

The suspects fled on foot with the stolen merchandise in the direction of Route 119, according to police. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any knowledge pertaining to the robbery to call detectives at (914) 682-5325. All calls will be kept confidential.
