Proceeds from the western-themed Change Bandits program support Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital’s mission to provide the best in advanced pediatric care to the region’s most seriously ill and injured children.

Change Bandits are children, adults, groups and organizations that gather loose change and other monies for donation to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Funds donated through the Change Bandits  program support lifesaving and life-changing pediatric programs at  Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, such as open-heart surgery, trauma and burn care, brain surgery, cancer treatments, organ transplants and advanced neonatal services.

An annual program, most Change Bandits donate their collections and have their contributions recognized live on the radio during the 100.7 WHUD Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothon for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. This year’s Radiothon event occurs Nov. 12-14.

This is the first year of the Rocking Horse Ranch Resort Change Bandit sponsorship. It includes a generous cash donation from the resort as well as collection and donation incentives for Change Bandits program participants. These incentives include packages for overnight stays at the resort.

For example, in 2014 Rocking Horse Ranch Resort will match the dollar amount raised by each Change Bandit, up to $500, to be applied to a minimum stay of two nights at Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, subject to availability.

Tompkins Mahopac Bank’s relationship with Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital began in 2008 and since that time, the bank has been a staunch supporter of the region’s advanced care pediatric center. This year, like many others in the past, Tompkins Mahopac Bank is supporting Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital through the Change Bandits program with a cash donation.

Additionally, Tompkins Mahopac Bank has been a fixture at the Radiothon. It has provided the coin counting machine in which Change Bandits’ donated funds are counted and collected. Tompkins Mahopac National Bank locations are also designated Change Bandits donation drop-off locations just prior to and during the Radiothon.

Tompkins Mahopac Bank also will host an in-branch fundraising campaign for the hospital. Visit www.mahopacbank.com for bank locations.
