Veteran's Day Events, Changes in Greenburgh's Schedule

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – The Town of Greenburgh is holding its annual Veteran's Day Parade on Friday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m., beginning at DeSanti Plaza in front of the Hartsdale train station. Residents are invited to watch the parade and track it through the hamlet.

Interviews with war veterans, as part of Greenburgh's Living History project, will be shown on Verizon channel 35 throughout the day to celebrate the lives of the local residents who fought for the United States of America.

Garbage pickup is on a different schedule this week as Veteran's Day is a holiday for many. The Village of Elmsford has no pickups for the remainder of the week. Greenburgh's commingled will be picked up on Thursday, with no pickups on Friday. Regular service will resume on Monday, Nov. 14.
