GREENBURGH, N.Y. Greenburgh is plagued with several empty storefronts, which could bring in revenue for the community once filled according to members of the town board. One of the most prominent empty buildings is the former A&P in the Crossroads Shopping Center that closed in April 2011.
Over the summer, the town was in talks to bring a large supermarket to the space, adding 20,000 square-feet to the building. While that contract did not work out, the town has still not been able to acquire another company to permanently settle in. In the fall, the space played host to a pop-up store, Halloween-centered, which closed in November.
As members of the Greenburgh community, The Daily Greenburgh is asking what you would like to see take shape in the east corner of the Crossroads Shopping Plaza on Tarrytown Road. Send your thoughts to email@example.com before Sunday, Jan. 15.
