Monday, April 23

Edgemont Association: 8 p.m. The nonprofit community organization provides and promotes programs, services and activities aimed at encouraging connections between neighbors and fostering civic involvement. Edgemont High School, 200 White Oak Lane, Scarsdale.

Tuesday, April 24

Greenburgh Town Board Work Session: 9:30 a.m. Although no legislative action is usually taken in these legislative meetings, the town board is expected to discuss a number of resolutions. Greenburgh Town Hall auditorium, 177 Hillside Ave., Greenburgh.

Greenburgh Public Library Board: 7:15 p.m. – 9 p.m. The Library Board of Trustees of the Greenburgh Public Library will hold their monthly meeting. Greenburgh Public Library, 300 Tarrytown Road, Elmsford.

Greenburgh Central School District 7 Board of Education Work Session: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Greenburgh Central 7 Administration building, 475 Hartsdale Ave., Hartsdale.

Wednesday, April 25

Greenburgh Town Board: 7:30 p.m. The board is expected to vote on a proposed change to gas station zoning along Central Park Avenue, among other things. Greenburgh Town Hall auditorium, 177 Hillside Ave., Greenburgh.

Sketch Book Lecture: Drawing from the Masters. 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. A DVD and art demonstration of secret tips from master artists. A program for adults, teens and tweens. Limited to 20 participants. Franchise Expo: 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. In career transition or know someone who is? Come learn about franchise ownership. Career transitioners, aspiring business owners, veterans and those interested in semi-absentee opportunities plus more are invited to attend Westchester’s premier business opportunity and career alternatives EXPO. Edgemont Community Council Annual Meeting: 8 p.m. The Silver Bowl will be awarded, and Ken Jenkins, chairman of the Board of Legislators of Westchester County will be the keynote speaker, Greenville Elementary School, 100 Glendale Road, Scarsdale.

Superintendent Finalist Question and Answer: 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The Greenburgh Central 7 Board of Education invites the community to meet the three finalists in the search for a new district superintendent, Woodlands High School cafeteria, 475 West Hartsdale Ave., Hartsdale.

Thursday, April 26

Conservation Advisory Council: 7 p.m. The board will meet to discuss matters affecting the preservation, development and use of natural and manmade features within the town. Lee F. Jackson Conference Room in Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave., Greenburgh.

The Computer Club for Adult Beginners: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. The club will cover a wide range of topics; from mouse basics to Google strategies. No computer topic is off limits for a conversation starter. Librarians will help you find the answers.  The more you attend the sessions in the library’s computer lab, the more confidence you’ll gain to send out emails and do your web searches.
