GREENBURGH, N.Y. ‒ Hurricane Sandy didn't just knock out power for half of Greenburgh's residents ‒ local businesses were affected, too. Whether you need Internet connection or just something warm to eat, here is a list of what's open in Greenburgh.
Dunkin' Donuts, 482 Tarrytown Road: The grab-and-go coffee place was jam-packed Wednesday morning, though the Dunkin' Donuts in Greenburgh Shopping Center on Knollwood Road remained closed.
Starbucks, 233 E. Hartsdale Ave.: Need Wifi? The Hartsdale Starbucks, located by the train station, is one of the few businesses offering it.
Theodore D. Young Community Center, 33 Manhattan Ave.: Missing your hot showers? TDYCC is open 24 hours to anyone who needs a shower or a warm place to stay.
A&P Supermarket, Knollwood Road: If you need fresh food, ice or just a cold drink, both A&P and CVS in Greenburgh Shopping Center are open for normal hours. An A&P employee said the supermarket is "well-stocked" after being emptied over the weekend by shoppers preparing for the hurricane.
Greenburgh Library: Though the library will have limited service Wednesday with only three administration members on duty, it is offering Internet and outlets to anyone who needs to go online or recharge a device. The library will be open until 9 p.m.
Crossroads Shopping Center, Tarrytown Road: The center's banks, including CitiBank and Chase, are open normal hours. Most of the center's stores, such as The Bagel Oven and K-mart, also remain open.
Velocity Sports Performance, 102 Fairview Park Drive: With children out of school, parents might have difficulty providing entertainment without power. Velocity Sports is hosting a free sports camp Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 5 p.m. It is also letting anyone use their power and Internet through 9 p.m.
Bee-Line Bus: Bee-Line is offering limited service Wednesday. Go to its website to see the transportation schedule.
Westchester Broadway Theatre, 1 Broadway Plaza: Getting bored with no television and Internet? The Westchester Broadway Theatre's shows are back on schedule.
