GREENBURGH, N.Y. - A White Plains man was arrested by Greenburgh police for driving while intoxicated after his vehicle wound up in the woods at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Sprain Valley Road, police said.
Simon Ramos, 42, told police he lost control of his 2011 Chevrolet at 4:15 a.m. March 6 trying to avoid a car in front of him. The officer observed Ramos smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and couldn't stand up, police said.
Ramos was charged with DWI, a class D felony, due to two prior DWI arrests.

Missing Clubs: On March 6 at 9:42 a.m., a groundskeeper at Elmwood Country Club reported a window air conditioner was pushed into his office and two sets of golf clubs were missing. The burglar alarm was broken and there was no video in the office where the incident occurred.
Three Arrested: A police officer reported to a call of a larceny at CVS on Central Avenue at 7:47 p.m. March 6. The store manager reported three individuals shoplifting in his store were inside Radio Shack, police said. While officer interviewed one suspect, he adjusted his pants as if he was concealing something, police said. He was found to have items in his jeans leg, police said. Video footage observed all three suspects aiding, abetting and acting in concert, police said. One suspect also was found to be in possession of a magnetic device commonly used to disable security devices, police said. The three Bronx men were charged with petit larceny.
