World War II Heroes on Greenburgh TV

World War II veterans are on display as Greenburgh Public Access Television airs its documentary entitled "Veterans of Greenburgh: Living History."

From now through Monday evening, the town pays tribute to its' heroes as 60 interviews are being shown as part of Greenburgh's Memorial Day initiative.

"These interviews are really fascinating," said Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner. "Unfortunately, a few people who were interviewed last year passed away, but this year we want to tell their story. It's really good and very interesting."

The interviews give residents an opportunity to meet the veterans and hear their war stories, as they are honored for their service in the 1940s.

Alan Hochberg, host and co-chair of the Greenburgh Veterans Advisory Group, spent the past year interviewing the town's veterans.

Greenburgh residents can turn to channel 75 on Cablevision or channel 35 on Verizon to tune in.
