Auto Dealership Owner, Westchester Native Damian Mancini Dies At 47

Damian Jude Mancini died suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 26 at his home in upstate Cortland., where he owned an auto dealership. He was 47 years old.

Mancini was born in February of 1970 in Yonkers, the son to Arthur and Ellen (Stubenvoll) Mancini of Brewster.

Damian graduated from Brewster High School in 1988, attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL and graduated from Tompkins Cortland Community College. Damian was the owner and operator at Evolution Auto in Cortland, located off I-81.

Damian loved billiards, participating in many pool tournaments. He had a passion for business, cars, cooking, history and he enjoyed singing. He was a dedicated volunteer for the Salvation Army. Damian was known for his big heart and his sense of humor.

Damian is survived by his parents, his daughter Anna Marie Mancini of Sedona, AZ, his son Giancarlo Mancini of Cortland, NY his son Nicholas Mancini of McGraw, NY, brother Francis Mancini of New Paltz, NY, brother Gregory Mancini of Brewster sister Christine Mancini of Brewster and his niece Gabriella.

The entire family is grateful for the gift of Damian’s life and love and he will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue in Brewster on Thursday, Aug. 31 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m.. A graveside service will take place on Friday, Sept. 1 at Milltown Rural Cemetery in Brewster at 11 a.m.

There will be a memorial celebration of life for Damian on Sept.10 from noon to 3 p.m. at Uncle Louie’s Backyard, 294 Tompkins Street Cortland 13045.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Damian’s memory to a fund for his three children on youcaring.com.
