Carmine Liberatore, 83, Retired Ewen Parker Employee In Elmsford

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Carmine "Buddy" Liberatore of Simi Valley, formerly of Yonkers, N.Y., died Dec. 2. He was 83.

Liberatore was born July 19, 1930, in Yonkers, son of Joseph and Yolanda Liberatore. He enlisted in the Army Dec. 27, 1948, in Mt. Vernon. He was awarded the following medals and honors: The Combat Infantry Badge; The Korean Presidential Unit Citation issued by the Government of South Korea to Korean Military and Foreign Units; and The Korean Service Medal W/5 Bronze Stars Army 3, Korean Service Medal W/5. He worked at Ewen Parker X-Ray in Elmsford, New York, where he worked for over 50 years. He retired in 2008.

Liberatore is survived by his wife, Penny; sons, Joseph, Carmine, Christopher "Dom" and John; daughters, Carla and Mary; five grandchildren; siblings, Annie, Christine, Enis, and Joseph; many nieces, nephews; and godchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Domenick.

A private Celebration of Life will be held with family members and close friends at a later date.
