Charles P. Schwartz, 79, Worked As Tech Operator At Boces In Elmsford

CORTLANDT, N.Y. - Charles P. Schwartz, a longtime Cortlandt area resident, formerly of New Rochelle, died Feb. 1. He was 79.

Schwartz served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1956. He worked as a tech operator at Boces in Elmsford, for 25 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of the NorCort Seniors, and the Van Cortlandt Historical Society.

Schwartz is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Sheree (Richard) Armstrong and Doreen (Robert) Byrnes; sister, Barbara Murphy; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Kurt Schwartz.

Calling hours are Thursday, Feb. 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7 followed by interment at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley.
