Dennis A. Bolger, 82, Elmsford Resident

ELMSFORD, N.Y. – Dennis Andrew Bolger, of Elmsford, died Sunday, Feb. 28. He was 82.

He was born on Staten Island to Edward and Rose (Golomb) Bolger. 

He graduated from St. Peter's Boys High School. 

He was an installer for the New York Telephone Co. and then AT&T. 

He was a life member of Live Oak Engine Company 1, former chief of the Elmsford Fire Department, alarm superintendent for the Village of Elmsford for over 50 years, member of the American Legion Post 104 and the Korean War Veterans of Florida. He was a retired reservist at Steward Air National Guard Base (105th Airlift Wing) and retired with the rank of master sergeant. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Elmsford.

He is survived by one daughter, Maryanne Romero; three sons, William, James and Kenneth Bolger; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Bolger; and his longtime companion Beatrice Bouchard.

Reposing will take place Friday, March 4 from 4-8 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Hawthorne. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle.
