Dr. Gerard J. Werner, 62, Chiropractic Practitioner In Hartsdale

DANBURY, Conn. - Dr. Gerard John Werner of Danbury died Dec. 30. He was 62.

Dr. Werner was born in Yonkers, N.Y., to Gerard and Margaret (Hermann) Werner and was raised in Hartsdale, N.Y. He received his bachelor of science degree from SUNY-New Paltz and his doctor of chiropractic degree from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Ill.

He practiced chiropractic medicine for 25 years in Hartsdale. He then moved to Danbury, where was a science teacher at Rogers Park Middle School in Danbury.

Dr. Werner is survived by his wife, Virginia Alosco-Werner; sons Matthew and Benjamin; brothers John and Paul and their wives Sharon and Jacqueline; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours are at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at the King Street Church of Christ, 201 S. King St., Danbury, before the Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m. and after the service.
