Giuseppe Martelli, 94, Of Elmsford, Retired Town Of Greenburgh Employee

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - Giuseppe Martelli of Elmsford died April 12. He was 94.

Martelli was born March 11, 1920, in Lanciano, Prov Cheiti, Italy. He migrated to the United States in March of 1956. He was also a veteran of the Italian Armed Forces. He worked in the construction industry and in 1960 moved with his family to Elmsford and has been a resident ever since. He was employed by the Town of Greenburgh as a skilled laborer until his retirement and also worked as a landscaper.

Martelli is survived by his sons, Anthony of Buchanan, James and Louise of Wappinger Falls; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Emilio (Anna) Martelli of Elmsford; and many nieces and nephews both in America and Italy. He was predeceased by his wife, Endina

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home , 72 E. Main St., Elmsford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Elmsford. Entombment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
