MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- John Anthony D’Urso, 85, a longtime Mount Kisco resident and physician, died Friday, July 21.

Born in Brooklyn, on Nov. 6, 1931, to Grace and Joseph D’Urso, he later moved with his family to Valley Stream, Long Island where he attended elementary and high school. He attended college and medical school at McGill University in Montreal.

D’Urso interned at Bellevue Hospital and Memorial Sloane Kettering Hospital; he practiced Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Oncology in New York City and later in Mount Kisco.

He is survived by his wife Nadia; five children: Steve, Michael, John, Neil, and Jennifer, and seven beloved grandchildren. 

A memorial mass will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 2 Green St., Mount Kisco.

He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
