John Joseph Breslin, 75, Of Hartsdale, Defense Attorney

HARTSDALE, N.Y. - John Joseph Breslin of Hartsdale died Saturday, Sept. 28. He was 75.

Breslin was born Sept. 19, 1938, and raised in the Bronx, son of Judge Edward F. Breslin and Marjorie (Reddy) Breslin. He graduated from Fordham Law School and went on to be a defense attorney. He and Kathleen raised their family in the Strathmore neighborhood of Scarsdale and were parishioners at Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Breslin is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Wittmer) Breslin; son, John Joseph Jr. (Heather); daughters, Elizabeth Frances (Breslin) Wilber (Gregory) and Patricia Anne; son Edward Francis Breslin (Sabrina); sister-in-law, Dorothy (Volpe) Breslin; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Edward Francis Jr. and Patricia Rose (Breslin) Modell.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Oct. 2 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Scarsdale.
